Climbing questions

Do I have to pay to assist my child if I don't climb?

No. You do not have to pay to enjoy and assist your children inside the climbing area.

I have no previous climbing experience, is Clip 'n Climb for me?

Clip 'n Climb is designed to be fun for everyone aged 4 and up. The difficulty of our challenges varies so there is something for everyone, from beginners to experts. Our staff are on hand to assist those who are less confident — and we can make it harder if needed, of course.

How long do Clip 'n Climb sessions last?

85 minutes. Sessions comprise a 30 minute safety briefing and harness fitting, followed by 55 minutes in the climbing space.

When do I need to arrive?

For a regular climbing session, please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session so we can sign you in ready for the briefing.

For a birthday party, please arrive 10 minutes before your session. It is worth telling party guests to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for late comers — we will do our best to accommodate them, but we cannot extend climbing time.

Is there parking on site?

£2 parking for the length of your stay — you can go shopping or visit the Quays afterwards and it still costs £2. Tickets are validated on exit of Clip 'n Climb.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers.

Open toed shoes, flip flops, boots, crocs, rock shoes and heels are not permitted in the climbing arena.

Long hair must be tied back, and loose jewellery, hats or hooded tops must be removed before climbing for safety reasons.

Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

No, all equipment is provided and there are no additional hire fees.

We recommend bringing a water bottle plus comfortable clothes and shoes.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Yes, the whole centre is wheelchair accessible.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. Our lockers are big enough for coats and a small bag.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. E-vouchers can be bought online and sent straight to an email address of your choice, and physical gift cards can be purchased in centre.

Can I leave my child unattended?

Children under 18 need a responsible adult (parent or guardian) on site.

Play Den questions

We love walk-ins, but booking ahead guarantees your spot — especially during weekends and school holidays when the fun is in full swing.

Who can use Play Den?

How long is a soft play session?

All soft play sessions last a minimum of one hour.

Do adults have to pay?

Adults are £1.50 and children under 6 months go free.

Do we need socks?

Can I stay with my child?

Yes. Children under 18 need a responsible adult on site, and you are welcome inside the play frames or at the South Ridge Café directly opposite.
